Following his escape from Rythos, Missael landed on the northern borders of the vast and lush Alder Forest, in the Realm of Eaherea. Where Orev's fleet landed was only a mile or two from the Ceryn Kingdom whose citizens resided within the forest itself. Hastily, Missael's fleet of 1000 men set up camp along the shores. Not long after that, a royal messenger approached Missael. The messenger informed Missael that the Ceryn king declared that they were not welcome on these parts of the continent and that they should leave immediately, or swear fealty to the crown. Knowing that this realm was the farthest away Missael had ever gotten, and one with the most potential he had ever seen made it hard to leave. But at the same time being in lands owned by someone else meant all 1,000 could be traded to the rulers of Rythos for a hefty price if they were to swore fealty. So he summoned his advisors and spent all night debating what course to take. During that same night with impatience guiding them, Missael's camp was attacked by soldiers from the Ceryn Kingdom in hopes to show their fierceness. Luckily Missael was able to push back the heavy assault with little difficulty and when the next morning came, Missael and his troops set fire to every single ship they had. In doing this, the Ceryn Kingdom's army was surprised to see how determined they were to make their obvious decision become a reality. In anger, the battle raged on once again, and this time it lasted for a little less than a week. The victorious side was Missael's army, but with a heavy toll. After a long, hard, and constant battle, the 1,000 strong men became less than 300. This left Missael with no opportunity to attack once again, Missael decided to take his men to settle somewhere else on the continent. Missael and his remaining troops began to build. They didn't know what at the time, but they built. Their location was about 200 miles, just at the edge of the Alder Forest which lead out to a lush plain that looked out over the jagged edges of the ground beneath their feet, allowing their eyes to gaze upon the blue open waters for miles upon miles. The area itself was full of supplies which made it easy for people to strive. With a large amount of land available, Missael decided to begin a kingdom, a kingdom where every being was free. With the plentiful supplies, it made it easy for the 300 or so men to begin building Braewood, the castle of Alderia. With time, Missael began getting weary travelers, slaves, and just townsfolk coming in hopes to join his kingdom, gain freedom, and help build it. Little by little, the castle began to take form. Even though the process of building Braewood was complete, a problem still remained in the system: politics. Being born a bastard, Missael had no experience in such things. This lead to a process of stagnation and social decadence that plagued Braewood for 3 years One night, trying to clear his head from constant stress and worry, he wandered off into the forest. He didn't thought much of it, but the citizens and company back at the castle began to panic. While his citizens worried he sat drinking in a tavern. The creatures there had no idea who he was, and Missael had no plans to reveal himself, instead he drank and laughed, trying to wash the bad taste of his failures. As Orev finished his drink, a sudden hooded figure walked into the tavern. Little to none paid attention to the hidden stranger, but this caught Missael's eye. It wasn't a man, he could tell very well. Even under that cloak, a woman's bust couldn't be hidden. Although that fact was clear, he stayed quiet before moving, sitting only a few seats away from her. He casually ordered a drink, not much later the stranger did the same. Most, however, would order some rum or perhaps ale. This women did nothing of the sorts but ordered a common fizzed drink. This new mystery got him even more interested and curious, and he asked politely what the cloak was all about. Silence was the answer he got, but with his observant eyes, he noticed a tightened hold on the glass the unknown person had. Not long after, the figure turned and whisked out of the tavern. Intrigued by the stranger Missael ran after the mysterious figure. Soon, he caught up and confronted her not too far from the tavern itself, but far enough where they were secluded. Missael had popped out from behind a couple trees after following her to a less wooded area. Only a few feet away, Missael called out to the figure and asked her once again what the cloak was all about, and why would a woman aimlessly wander in these parts. In calling her out, the figure remained with her back turned to him. Little did Missael know, she was a princess who was running away from her life and past. After slowly approaching her, Missael stood only a few feet away from the stilled figure whose mind raced at the possibilities of what could happen if she revealed herself. After some thought, she decided to take a chance. She thought to herself as she rose her hands to pull down her hood, maybe he can help me escape from my father. Not wasting any more time, she finally revealed her white hair to him, and the collar of her expensive dress. Slowly , the woman turned around. She appeared to be 19 years old, with hair as white as moonlight. However, her indigo eyes had seen more than that as she had been around for 110 winters. He just stared, the slit of his blue eyes pulsated rapidly as silence flooded the area. Her lonely gaze held many secrets and stories, tales that bewitched a need to uncover. Without asking, she softly gave him her fake name, Sylleth. Upon learning the maiden’s name, underneath the shining moon that lit the forest, Missael took the chance to take in her appearance. Sylleth wore a rather expensive looking cloak. That alone gave the impression that she wasn’t a peasant. Missael only imagined how the dress looked as the fabric of the cloak itself seemed to be made of the finest around. Her white hair was somewhat frizzled looked like she hadn't brushed it in quite some time, but it was still in very good condition. Along with that, her pink lips caught his attention when she bit her lower one in nervousness. Sylleth had many secrets. Only a vague truth would come from her, or she would beat around the bush with her answers. She didn't want him to know. After all, he could side with the king of the Ceryn Kingdom, her father. When Missael gave her his own name, she instantly recognized him. News travels fast in the Ceryn Kingdom, especially in the village. She had heard of the tales of the Orev Fleet, but never thought they were true. In learning this, she became more on-edge, but he slowly began to gain her trust after having a long, one sided conversation on Missael's half. Finally being able to get her to shelter than going out in the forest again, the two of them eventually returned to the kingdom that night. The castle's people rejoiced, but were also skeptical of the women he had brought home. From then on, Sylleth stayed at Braewood, and her and Missael began to slowly develop a friendship. As time went on, Sylleth began giving pointers, suggestions, and tips to Missael about his developing kingdom. When he asked her how she knew about this stuff, she didn't really give him a clear answer. For the answer of truth may get her caught. She never lied to him about anything else but her name for she only gave half-truths. The time they spent together was enjoyable, and Missael even trained her with a sword. He wished that day would never come that she would need to use it, but it's good that she had the skill. As time when on, things changed and they became lovers. Once Sylleth took the seat besides Missael. Being raised as a daughter of a noble, this enabled her to help rule easily. This new couple grew stronger each day, though there were a few rough patches, and they continued to build the Lost Immortals kingdom. Their love grew stronger, and so did their kingdom. In their second year they had their first heir, Ayla Orev Ashwood.
